Spreading over an area of 180,000ft², the hangar complex will encompass eight large cabin-class sized hangars as well as additional 30,000ft of office and shop space according to

It will also be the home of Banyan’s Northside FBO terminal that will enable the company to continue to serve its exclusive clientele.

Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis said: “This significant investment reflects the strength of our economy and the tremendous confidence Sheltair and Banyan have in Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

“The project is a credit to Sheltair’s ability to bring development to our City that builds value, creates jobs, and continues to drive economic growth.”

Banyan will have a dedicated terminal building open 24/7 to offer FBO and line service for the tenants that will enable customers to get the benefit of the airport’s tower and security operations.
