American Airlines is adding four new seasonal, leisure-oriented routes from its Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) hub in North Carolina, including transborder flights to Calgary International Airport (YYC).
From June 5, the carrier will open service from CLT to Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) in Wyoming. On the same day, it will commence flights between CLT and Spokane International Airport (GEG) in Washington.
Both routes will be operated daily, with an Airbus A321 serving GEG and an A319 serving JAC.
From June 8, American will start 1X-weekly flights between CLT and YYC. Also on that date, it will open 1X-weekly service between CLT and Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) in Montana. Both the YYC and BZN routes will be flown on Saturdays with Boeing 737 aircraft.
All four routes will run through Sept. 3.
BZN notes American also will operate 3X-daily seasonal service to the airport from the carrier’s Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport base during the same time frame.
Ralph Lopez Massas, American’s senior vice president for CLT hub operations, says in a statement: “With new direct service from Charlotte, adventure-seekers have easy access to explore four new mountain destinations.” According to the reports published in aviationweek.com .
American has previously announced it will start flights from CLT to Vancouver International Airport in June.
