Raunheim, June20, 2022: Lufthansa Systems will officially launch its completely new re-designed slot monitoring functionality, the NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor, on the 150th IATA Slot Conference in Seattle (June 21 – 23, 2022). Combined with a new user experience the solution provides airlines with an up-to-date monitoring of their slots and enables them to effectively control the slot-use.
“The global Covid-19 pandemic has shown the importance for an airline to stay flexible when it comes to adaptions of the 80/20 slot rule. With the recovery of the airline industry, the global growth of air traffic on most international airports and the number of slot coordinated airports will drastically rise again in the near future”, explained Simon Zemitis, Head of Network Operation Products at Lufthansa Systems. Popular profit-generating slots will become more important and owned slots even more valuable. An effective slot management is therefore crucial for any airline. NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor enables airlines to be flexibly prepared for anything to come. Airlines can individually define the slot-use thresholds, for each airport that is to be monitored.
NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor allows an efficient control of all slots. The solution shows the number of cancelled slots as well as how many further cancellations are possible and prevents slots from being overlooked or getting lost by sending warning alerts when critical slots are touched by the user in NetLine/Ops++ and NetLine/Sched Slot Manager. Furthermore, NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor empowers to monitor slots for different airports simultaneously. Users can check entire routings, multi-leg and triangle flights and are provided a holistic view on the slot management as one entity.
The new development supports with a wide range of filter possibilities. Users can define their favorite airports, for instance hubs and critical airports. Moreover, it is possible to mark single or more slots for easy monitoring with “quick links” to favorite airports and favorite slots with simply one mouse-click. Thus, critical slots can easily be watched anytime, and a quick link shows all relevant details. The application has undergone a user-oriented re-design based on web technology. As a result, it presents itself with a fresh web User Interface. The modern look and feel gives a unique user experience for an application, which can be simply retrieved now through any browser worldwide.
NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor is a component of the NetLine/Sched Slot Management Suite and the Lufthansa Systems NetLine Product Line. Being fully integrated into the NetLine Product Line, NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor is automatically updated when schedule and operational changes as well as slot modifications occur. In reverse, the slot status information will be highlighted in the NetLine/Sched core system such as the Gantt chart and the flight editor. Slot information is also available in the reporting tools NetLine/Sched Flexible Reporting. Likewise, NetLine/Ops++ is updated with critical slot information.
