New Delhi, April 02, 2024: On 31 March, US-Bangla Airlines marked a milestone by conducting a maiden trial voyage with its newly acquired Airbus A330-300, which has a seating capacity for 436 passengers. The aircraft took off at 4:00pm from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, carrying 210 of the airline’s staff and employees for the journey.
The test flight made a brief stop at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram before making its way back to Dhaka in just half an hour. The trial was met with enthusiasm from those present at both locations, as shared in an official announcement.
Looking forward, US-Bangla Airlines has outlined plans to deploy the Airbus A330-300 for regular service on popular routes, including Dhaka to Dubai and Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, the airline is eager to commence operations between Dhaka and Jeddah at the earliest opportunity according to the reports published in travelandtourworld.com.
This new Airbus A330-300 is a significant addition to US-Bangla’s fleet, now numbering 23 aircraft. The current lineup includes this Airbus model, nine Boeing 737-800s, 10 ATR 72-600s, and three Dash 8-Q400 planes. There’s also anticipation for the fleet’s expansion with another Airbus A330-300 expected to join soon.
