New Delhi, June 18, 2025: A Saudi Airlines flight narrowly dodged a major mishap at Lucknow airport on Sunday morning after it faced a technical glitch during landing, according to moneycontrol.com.
The plane was carrying Hajj pilgrims when sparks and smoke erupted from the aircraft’s landing gear as it touched down on the runway around 6:30 am.
The pilot promptly brought the aircraft to a halt while the plane was taxiing on the runway, and the airport’s fire and rescue team responded immediately.
The flight SV 3112, had departed from Jeddah at 10:45 pm the previous night with 250 Hajj pilgrims and crew members onboard.
Initial probe indicates a hydraulic system leak as the cause of the malfunction. All passengers and crew are safe, and no injuries were reported.
