IndiGo’s expansive network bridges distances within India

New Delhi, October 19, 2023 :  IndiGo, India’s preferred carrier, has built the most extensive network of domestic flight operations, connecting 84 destinations across India. This network is helping provide flight connectivity not just to metropolitan cities, but a vast array of Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, many of which have joined the country’s civil aviation ecosystem for the first time.

Today, IndiGo operates more than 49000 domestic flights each month, the highest for any carrier in the country. From its hub in the National Capital of Delhi, the airline is operating nearly 6000 monthly departures connecting with other metros and key cities and towns across the country. The carrier also operates more than 4700 monthly departures from Bengaluru, 4300 from Mumbai, 3900 from Hyderabad, 3100 from Kolkata 3000 from Chennai.

The IndiGo network extends to state capitals and commercial hubs such as Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Lucknow, Indore, Patna, Ranchi, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Kochi, Mangalore, Surat, Nagpur, Vadodara, among others. IndiGo also flies to several centers of religious, cultural and tourism importance such as Amritsar, Dharamsala, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Gwalior, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mysuru, Shirdi, Port Blair, Goa, and many more. IndiGo is also the largest operator from Goa’s brand new Mopa Airport.

IndiGo has also built the widest network of flights in North-East India. Apart from major airports in the region like Bagdogra and Guwahati, IndiGo currently operates from Agartala (Tripura), Aizwal (Mizoram), Dimapur (Nagaland), Imphal (Manipur), Hollongi (Arunachal Pradesh), Shillong (Meghalaya) along with Jorhat, Dibrugarh, and Silchar in Assam.

 Many underserved towns and cities are also being connected by air to the rest of the country by IndiGo. Deoghar in Jharkhand, Kadapa and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, Jharsuguda in Madhya Pradesh, Shivamogga in Karnataka, Pantnagar in Uttarakhand, Darbhanga in Bihar, and Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh are among such examples. IndiGo also operates around 119 weekly flights under the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme to provide connectivity to make air travel affordable and accelerate economic development.
